Report released: Virtual interlining in 2020 - Lessons learned
SafeConnect is an independent travel tech and consulting company, which has worked on a number of projects with some of the biggest names in the travel industry. We have been following the virtual interlining trend since 2016 and have gained significant expertise in the field.
In February 2020, with the Covid-19 crisis beginning to unfold, we witnessed and documented the behavior of the major virtual interlining stakeholders and the impact on passengers holding tickets for self-connecting flights. The Covid-19 crisis revealed a number of flaws in the model, which should teach us valuable lessons for the future.
We gathered our findings in a report, which can be of interest to a variety of stakeholders, for example virtual interlining vendors, aviation regulatory bodies, airline associations, insurance companies, travel tech providers, etc.
Some of the largest aviation stakeholders in Europe are already in possession of the report.
We are happy to announce that as of November 1st 2020, the report is offered for free to commercial entities as well as to institutions and non-profit organisations.
